π½π₯ New Recipes and Videos Libraries Are Now Live in BoxMate
Weβre excited to introduce a major enhancement to two existing BoxMate features: Recipes and Videos.
This release brings dedicated in-app libraries for both, giving gyms a better way to organise, share, and control access to valuable member content. π

π³ Recipes now have their own library
When we launched Lifestyle at the start of 2025, coaches gained the ability to build recipes for lifestyle plans. Members could then view those recipes in the app when taking part in a plan.
With this latest release, recipes are now easier to access than ever.
Inside the member library, alongside workouts and exercises, members will now see a dedicated Recipes tab. This displays recipes built by coaches and gives members a central place to browse nutrition and lifestyle content. π₯π
π¬ Videos now have their own library too
Videos have long been part of BoxMate. Coaches could add them to sessions, workouts, and news posts for members to view in context.
Now, videos also have a dedicated library.
This gives gyms a central place to share video content such as movement demos, educational resources, walkthroughs, announcements, or premium member content. Weβve also added support for hosted video links, giving coaches more flexibility in how they share content. πΉβ¨
π Built to organise, engage, and gate content
Both libraries include useful tools to help coaches manage content and members find what they need.
Libraries include:
- π Categories
- β€ Likes and views
- π Sorting and filtering
- π Membership-based access control
- π¬ Comments and tagging for recipes
Access control is especially powerful, as it allows gyms to provide extra content based on a memberβs current membership. That means you can create premium resources, lifestyle content, nutrition support, or educational material and make it available only to the right members. π
πͺ Better programming for bodyweight and gymnastics sets
Weβve also made an important programming improvement based on user feedback.
Bodyweight and gymnastics exercises can now be programmed with sets without asking members to enter a weight. Previously this was possible, but the logging experience could be confusing because members were still prompted for weight input.
The experience is now much clearer for members, and admin has been updated so percentages cannot be added for these types of exercises. ππ€Έ
β‘ More improvements and fixes
This release also includes a number of smaller improvements and fixes, including:
- β Better TeamUp event register support
- π Lifestyle plan controls for blocking future days
- π BoxMate Live login code generation
- π Clearer admin placeholders and instructions
- π Leaderboard fixes
- π PT session ordering fixes
- π Task widget refresh improvements
- β± Score logging fixes
π A stronger content experience for members
With dedicated Recipes and Videos libraries, gyms now have more ways to support, educate, and engage their members inside BoxMate.
Whether youβre sharing nutrition content, lifestyle resources, movement guidance, or gated premium videos, this update gives you a cleaner and more flexible way to do it. π
